Grommet in! and memorial ride.

On Friday the 17th July, I had to face the fact that I needed a grommet put in my eardrum if I want to ear properly and get over this "glue ear"

I was awake when the ENT doctor pushed the plastic tube through a little hole he had made in my ear drum.

I'll tell ya, it hurt like hell €€>>%%}k

It will take up to 4 weeks for the middle ear to drain, hopefully all will be good, and I don't get a infection in the ear from it because of my low average immune system.

Tues 21st:

Grommet good, tummy not.

It seems one the antibotics has caused me to have stomach cramps, diarrhea and bone aches . I have stopped taking that antibiotics, and just use the ear drops now.   These last two days have not been good. Doc said eat simple foods like paster toast rice. Etc.

Hope I will be good for Sunday, as I want to ride or photograph Richard Kings memorial bike ride this Sunday, mates from 30 years ago will be getting together to ride 80km over the mountains in memory of our friend who lost his battle with Bladder cancer last month :-(

Rik was only 45.
